My "Painterly" Photo Art

In 2020 I ventured away from pure photography into the realm of photographic art. That is, I wanted to stretch my creativity in another direction and attempt to apply a “painterly” look to some of my photos. With the help of various digital tools I was able to transform my photographic images into art that took on the appearance of oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings as well as some that look more like drawings, sketches, and chalk work. I’m still exploring the vastness of its possibilities.
All of these images began as my original photographs but I transformed them to look different from a simple photograph. Some stray from reality more than others. Here are a few of my creations.
